As with most of these consumer document scanners, setting up the scanner is very simple. Install the ScanSnap software on your Windows or Mac computer, connect the S1500 with a USB cable, and you can start scanning. Slide some documents into the top loader and then press the button on the front of the product (this is the only button). The desktop software will start automatically. You can scan in ScanSnap Manager or another compatible document organizer.
